Loud Shirt Day

At Accounted4, we love an excuse to brighten up the office, especially when it’s for a great cause. This year, we took part in Loud Shirt Day, an annual event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for children with hearing loss. It’s all about fun, color, and making a difference for kids who are learning to hear and speak, with the help of cochlea implants.

Mental Health Awareness Week

Last month, Accounted4 took part in Mental Health Awareness Week, dedicating time to focus on our mental wellbeing as a team.

With the theme Community is... what we create together, we organized various activities aimed at our work community, and beyond.

Here’s what we did:

Monday: We kicked off the week with Warm Fuzzy allocations & mindful coloring in the tea room, offering a relaxing start to the week.

Tuesday: Our social media team gave a shout out to a couple of local businesses to share some community support. We also created a board in the tearoom for team members to share their favorite local spots, tradies and other business recommendations.

Wednesday: Warm fuzzies was in full swing, with the team taking the chance to share thoughtful gestures with their allocated secret 'fuzzy friend', ranging from uplifting notes, thoughtful poems, small gifts and chocolate... lots of chocolate.! We also enjoyed a shared morning tea, where everyone brought their favorite treats, providing a great opportunity to unwind and connect with colleagues.

Thursday: We encouraged everyone to take breaks or hold meetings outdoors, with many opting for short walks around town. Steff mapped out a few walking routes, with a quiz along the way.

Friday: We concluded the week with a Shared Mental Health Awareness Week and Blue September celebration. Team members donned blue attire and participated in fun activities organized by our social club!

Mental Health Awareness Week highlights the importance of supporting one another in our communities, but let’s remember that prioritizing our mental health is essential every day and week of the year!

Daffodil Day

At Accounted4, we had a fantastic time celebrating Daffodil Day to raise funds for the Cancer Society and show our support for those affected by cancer in New Zealand. Our office was brightened up with yellow decorations, and everyone got into the spirit by wearing their yellow outfits. We enjoyed a delicious spread of yellow-themed treats, with donations rolling in as we enjoyed the tasty goodies.
