The Annual Big Day Out

What do you get when you mix four competitive teams, a pit stop in Tirau, a round of golf at Okoroire, and a quiz showdown in Matamata? Accounted4’s Annual Big Day Out, of course!

We hit the road early, with our four teams dressed to impress (and in some cases, confuse). There’s nothing like a bit of dress-up rivalry to set the tone for the day. First stop: Tirau. Coffee was essential, we stretched the legs, and surprisingly, didn’t get a single photo in front of the famous corrugated iron animals. Must’ve been too focused on the competition ahead!

Next, it was time to test our swing at Okoroire Golf Course. Let’s just say there were moments of brilliance… and moments of creative interpretation of the rules. But whether you were hitting birdies or searching for your ball in the bushes, the team spirit was unbeatable.

By lunchtime, we were ready to relax and refuel at The Merchant in Matamata. Good food, good vibes, and the all-important quiz competition. It was close, but ultimately David and the Buckle Bunnies took the crown as overall champs for the day! They nailed the quiz, brought the energy on the course, and definitely won some style points.

All up, an epic day out with the best crew. Already looking forward to doing it all again next year, who knows what theme we’ll come up with next?

Celebrating 20 Years with Kim

Recently we celebrated a huge milestone, Kim Antonio’s 20-year anniversary with Accounted4! From starting as a Senior Accountant in 2005 to becoming our first ever female Director in 2021, Kim’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring.

Kim joined Accounted4 after gaining a wealth of experience in both chartered accountancy and corporate sectors. Her sharp mind and approachable nature quickly made her a go-to person within the team and for her clients. Over the years, Kim has built a reputation for her expert knowledge, strategic thinking, and genuine care for those she works with.

Her leadership extends far beyond the numbers. Kim is passionate about helping clients grow their businesses and achieve their personal financial goals. Whether she’s guiding a startup through their first big leap or advising established businesses on succession planning, Kim brings a steady hand and clear insight.

Outside the office, Kim’s a proud Northland girl who now calls the Waikato home. She lives on a lifestyle block with her husband Brad and their son Zac, where she enjoys getting outdoors, catching up with family, and embracing rural life.

Kim’s 20-year milestone is a testament to her hard work, resilience, and commitment to excellence. She’s paved the way for future leaders at Accounted4 and continues to mentor and inspire those around her.

From all of us at Accounted4, thank you, Kim, for two incredible decades. We’re lucky to have you leading the way!

St Patrick's Day

On St Patrick's Day, our Accounted4 team took a little break from the spreadsheets and headed down to Clementine for a St Patrick’s Day lunch, it did not disappoint!

Decked out in plenty of green (yes, we got the memo), we enjoyed an afternoon of good food, laughs, and a few cheeky nods to the Irish. Clementine turned on the charm as always, with their warm vibe and delicious menu.

From delicious mains to the perfect flat whites to finish, it was a great chance to catch up with the team outside the office. St Paddy’s Day was the perfect excuse, but let’s be honest, we’re always up for a long lunch when it’s at a local gem like Clementine.

To be sure, to be sure!
